which syllabus to follow for T.Y.B.c om

hi,
I'm really confused please help me, my query is:
I've finished S.Y.B.com through N. M. collage (mumbai university) in Apr 2004. After this i took admission in Mumbai university for correspondence T.Y.B.com(management group) in the year 2007-2008. however i didnt appear for the exams due to some family issues. i'm aware that the admission is valid for 5 years, which means i only have to fill examination form if i intend to complete my graduation in Mar 2011, and this examination form i have fill in nov 2010 , am I correct?

my most imp query is....
do i have to follow the syllabus of year 2007.of which i dont have any books...or can i refer the new syllabus of the year 2010.by purchasing new books....
i tried calling Mumbai university about this query many a times.but didnt get any satisfactory answer. i hope you answer all my doubts....

please reply as soon as possible..

Yes you are correct. If you want you can give exams in this October as well. Still 3 days are remaining to fill up your October exam forms i.e. August 27th. If you go for October 2010 exams, you refer 2009-2010 syllabus, if for March 2011 exams, refer 2010-2011 syllabus.

Thanks a lot for your reply..that means though I'm an old student of Mumbai university(admission taken for 2007-2008), I have to follow new syllabus...or do i have a choice of either following 2009-2010 syllabus or 2010-2011 syllabus? please confirm.

Also please send the subjects and syllabus of T.Y.B.com (management group) for year 2010-2011. My optional subjects were Marketing Research and Export...

Hey, I think 2010-2011 syllabus will not be asked in this October exams as they are repeaters, so you refer 2009-2010 syllabus for October, and if you want to give exams on March 2011, you go for either 2009-2010 or new 2010-2011 syllabus.
Also remember, you can also appear for old syllabus of your time i.e. 2007-2008 if you want. In exam, you will be given question papers of both old and new syllabus. You can appear any one of them.

thanks a lot...but now again there is a confusion..
as i had taken admission in Mumbai university management group in year 2007-08, but didnt appear for exam..and now i want to appear for mar 2011. i.'m told by university people that correspondence syllabus is different from college students. that means i cant refer any text books....Do i only have to follow the university books...please confirm...every time to call the university people you get diff answers....im not in mumbai..so cant go there personally....you are my only source of hlp....

hi payal, you could write old or new syllbus.in exam thre will be new nd old syllbus u have to choose

I think mpp is compusory subject for all.Don't no about HRM

IN question paper there will be both old syllabus nd new one.u could study nd write any.university like last year will issue notice that idol students can write either old or new syllabus.

i have a similar problem hv done sybcom thru college in mar 2008 and wanna appear in march 2011 i hv filled the university form but do i need to have any acknowledgement for that and is a leaving certificate from college necessary
