hello
i am appearing for april 2011 and i am not doing any classes or tutions. i am hoping that this site would help a lot. so i need the important questions for each subject in this thread. for instance i need important questions of all theory subjects economics[new] , MHRM , computer applications , auditing . even a little help would mean a lot

Hi,

You need to take private tuition for the Accounts subjects unless you are good with accounts.. for other subjects you can refer UPS..

I think if u hv no problm wid a/c's thn ur done.
As regards new syllabus, i know less.
Theory subjects are just mugging up. Just read through theory textbooks(i prefer manan) in case of Economics & Audit now once. u wil find it easy. (3 times revision is more than enough).
For MHRM, i have observed the following with MPP just check whther it applies to MHRM -

MPP - this has two sections having 1. Management -50 marks 7 Definitions(2mks each) & 6 questions (6mks each)
2. Human Resource and Production - 50 marks same as above.
for 6 marks Question 1 & half page (with Introduction, Main answer & Conclusion).
&
IMP CHAPTERS(old course):
Out of 17 chapters in Micheal Vaz(manan prakashan) textbook doing foll chapters(11) will help u attempt 100% of paper:

Chap - 1, 3(v. imp - Functions of Mngmt - are the headings of following chapters),4, 6, 7. (50 marks)
Then, Chap 10,11,12 (25mks) & then Chap 15,16,17 (25 mks)

Note:
1. Do not learn question like " Nature & Characteristics" as u will find 4-6 common points in all of them, only learn those points(also these q's are rarely asked so same pts for all).

2.Learn the points of those questions thoroughly that are specific to the topic (e.g. types,methods, techniques,PROCESS,principles, etc)

3.Preferably learn 1 definition of the all chapter headings (like planing, organising, staffing,etc) to write in introduction of ANY question of that chapter.

4. Lastly learn, based on repetition in exams, "glossary of key terms" at the end in the text as it is of 28 mks(14+14). 2marks questions.

For theory subjects i thnk
Audit - UPS past 7-9 papers will be sufficient.
Economics - New course requires studing atleast 3 modules completely to cover 70% of paper...

i have went through the management accounts paper . i find it juss fyn expect the objectives . . not been following that!

true MA, Costin, Tax r all easy n scoring... u only need to practice a bit more for FA... but if u r strong at Journal Entries then u wil score.
i always say this one advise to my students - For Accounts (& math) dont just read the Question & solved answer but solve it in writing...(4-5 comprehensive sums in each chapter in writin wil give u confidence more thn u may thnk!)

in other posts you posted that you will provide IMP questions of march. is there a particular time when you will provide it?
