Following is the list of books / authors generally preferred by most of the students:

    1. Economics - Mario Dias
    2. Accounts 1, 2, 3 - Ainapure or Chaudhari & Chopde
    3. Management 1, 2, 3 - Kale and Ahmed
    4. MPP / MHRD - Michael Vaz
    5. Computer Systems and Applications - Welling, Diwanji & Saraph
    6. Taxation - Ainapure
    7. IP - Vinay Prabhu

I will add this list with more subjects as I get info

    Hi Deep,

Reg Eco, wt do u think of Mishra & Puri...
Actually I'll be re-appearing in Oct. I m from '03 batch.. Yes I hv made several attempts since then... I wud fill up the exam form, decide to study seriously this time n whn the date arrives, I'll never got d exam hall... this is wt has bin happening since the last 2 yrs. Right now I m so depressed.
U no its not funny to feel like a loser...
I m not a dumb person, but all these yrs I hv lost all my confidence. All I know is, untill I dont clear this, I will not move on in life... atleast my conscience will not allow me to.

    Hi,
I am really sorry for replying so late. I had marked this post as followup but somehow I missed it.

Mishra Puri is a very good book but then it all depends upon the person. Many students Mario Dias very easy to read and few people like other authors.

But from your description of your reply, I will suggest Mario Dias.

    Best Regards and Good Luck,
    Deep

    Default For Accounting

    Hi,
For Accounting I recommend (strongly) NEEDLES. It is an American Book. But, the first 25 pages will have you floored. You will start loving Accounting and the whole basic concept of the Accounting Equation is explained in a simple and authoritative manner.
    Assets = Liabilities + Owner's Equity
Current Assets + Long Term Assets = Current Liabilities + Long Term Liabilities + Owners Equity
Any accounting problem if it can be understood with reference to this basic equation, will make you a master.
I guess the book is expensive. I got one in a sale for a few hundred rupees.
Try it and you will love.
    Regards
    Krishna
